SDG 7 for SDG 8 Experiential Lab

The Energy-Livelihoods Experiential Centre of AIC-SELCO Foundation has been designed for demonstrating various energy integrated livelihood technologies, under agriculture and other livelihood value chains which are specific to the context of the North-Eastern states. The lab also encompasses training spaces and a makerspace that have suitable tools and equipment facilities which helps the incubated innovators and entrepreneurs to tinker with their technology, build and ideate their prototypes.

The SDG7 for SDG8 Lab will have the following key components:

  • Raise awareness on the role of SDG7 in catalysing development and improving livelihoods in the North Eastern States
  • Immersive sectoral labs for ideating on contextualised livelihood needs and gaps and provide solutions in the form of technologies and services in animal husbandry, textile, agriculture etc
  • Maker spaces as a platform for design thinking, prototyping and manufacturing
  • Key solutions and processes (replicable) from the North Eastern states will be showcased by amplifying the voices of regional and local innovators and problem solvers - students, professionals, sectoral leaders alike.

The Lab rooms will be provided with an exposure to the real time solutions and poster depicting case stories and descriptions of the solutions which will provide the visitors and participants the chance to learn about products and applications while also enjoying the experience
